Training as a media technologist printing (m/f/d)

Are you a color artist? But instead of brushes and easels, would you rather reach for high-tech and machines?

Media technologists for printing control the entire printing process with the utmost precision on and with a wide variety of machines and tools. In this way, they ensure the impressive reproduction of text and images. Before the printing process takes place, the media technologist analyzes the technical feasibility of the job in advance. The print data is checked for completeness and usability. After test phases involving test prints, the automated printing process is started. This is constantly monitored by the media technologists (formerly printers) to ensure the quality and accuracy of the prints. Any further processing (binding, cutting, folding, varnishing, quality sifting, packaging, etc.) may also fall within their areas of activity. The training includes instruction on how to plan print jobs, set up presses and navigate printing processes. In addition, machine care and maintenance are also part of the training.
